Dwc3-9x40 scope scope is shooting way out of whack, how do i get a manual on dialing it in ?

Its real simple at the top and on the side of the middle of the scope you will find 2 knobs. unscrew the knobs and you will find 2 flat head screws one for each knob. one will say up with an arrow the other willsay right with an arrow. go to the gun range. set the rifle up on a bench ,fire, adjust the screws up or down left or right until the bullet and the crosshair matches one click of the screw will equal out to 1/4 of an inch adjustment. if you change ammobrands you need to do this again.you will never be perfect but at 100 yards you should get 3 bullets in a 3 inch circle.

Moa not true past 300yds tasco 6x24x42mm

The Tasco is not a 600 yrd scope by any means. If you want to get rid of them, there are plenty of deer hunters who will use it at 100 yards and never go beyond that. The MOA is usually imprinted on the windage dial, it will have a little fraction or a decimal there telling what it is at 100 yards. There are a couple good scopes out there, Nikon and Pentax are decent. Leupold is about the best. It will deliver beyond your eye vision and rifles potential. I have a Bushnell on my M-40, mainly because I can't afford a $1000 scope, but I can shoot door knobs off at 200 yards all day. The scope is a piece of junk, but I have it set up right and it works, Hope this helps.

I have a mossberg 385t,he took the bolt out to clean it and now cant get it to go all the way back in......What do i do?

If you de-cocked the firing pin in the bolt the locking notches will not line up and the the bolt will only go in so far. Your going to have to reset the alignment back in line. Be patient, you'l get it.

I have about a 1989 model Leupold 3x9 Var X and lost the users manual- it is shooting about 2-3 inches to the right at 60 yards- Can you tell me which way (lft or right?) and how much- I assume I should adjust it right, but I don't know how far-thanks- John G

You have a number or a fraction on the inside of the windage cap, or you should, it will say something like 1/4 or 1/2? That will tell you how many fractions your scope moves with each click, at 100 yards. Anyway, there is also a left and right direction on the scope, you want your scope to go in the direction of your bullet miss, this will pull the barrel over to the center, again, it is supposed to. If you have run out of clicks, you will need to shim your scope. So, on the 1/4 inch at 100 yards, you will want to move the dial, 8 to 12 clicks to the right. Shoot it again, if it went the wrong way, you know what to do. If it didn't move at all, try this.... If it is a bolt action rifle, pull the bolt out, mount the rifle in a cardboard box with v grooves cut in it so it will cradle and not move, or a vise, sight down the barrel at a target at 100 yards, then peek down the scope, it should be right on the target, if not move the cross hairs till it aligns, check the barrel again, make sure it didn't move, then peek through the scope again, if it is the same, it will be on paper at 100 yards, if it is not a bolt action, the only other rifle you can d it with is an AR type rifle. This is a military trick, not something I dreamed up, it works. Check it out.

My LX200 (1992 vintage) has apparantly suffered complete electronic failure. Having blown both the line fuse and the slow blow behind the power panel, I started trouble shooting and found: The ribon male connector on the power plate has a short between terminal 1 (18v line) and terminal 2 (12v line) somewhere on the back of the connector hidden from view. In addition the said 12v line is down to earth, either through the caps C1 and C2 or the plugs for Rs232 or the key pad. To locate these faults I had disconnected C4 , R1, D2, the 5V regulator and even cut the pc board tracks in a few places. With apparantly several faults on this pcb I assumed the main pcb could be faulty as well. Then I decided to stop further troubleshooting My question is what can be done. Is it possible to replace all the electronics? The scope has seen very little use, but may have suffered electronic failure due to extended expsure to slight humidity. The pcb appear in perfect condition though, ie shiny and no signs of track faulting. I hope this helps to describe my distress adequately. I hope there is a way out because manual guiding is not on for me.

Ron Sampson can repair the electronics in Meade telescopes. You only need to send him the boards with your detailed description of what you believe is burned out.He can be reached by posting a message on the Yahoo LX200 and or LX90 Group forums. Also Dr.Clay in Arkansas can repair the scope along with Meade (possible if they have new boards) -- Dr. Clay can be reached here:http://www.arksky.org/supercharge.htm
