Illuminated reticle won't work

I have 2 like new Aetec 2.8x10 the lights won't work, have tried changing batteries and caps with working Aetecs with no change. Simmons has no customer service that I can reach. Any numbers or ideas would be helpful. 1 800 285 0689 puts you on forever hold.

The control knob for the reticle illumination is very hard to turn (it takes a pliers)! The illumination does work once it is turned to a number other than zero. Is there a way to loosen the control knob without damaging the wiring for the illumination?

Problem with my atn 390 nv scope

Observe the IR illuminator with a digital camera and see if it if fluctuating in output brightness. If that is OK, the problem may be in the HV circuit. They are both easy to fix if the person has some experience.

It wont power on?

It's probably the capacitor, or the pushbutton energizer. It's really easy to dis-assemble this unit, and it works really well for a $100 night vision scope.You can replace the pushbutton with a toggle switch from Radio Shack.
