Cant see out of 49114500 telescope

Here is a beginner's instruction on different types of telescopes-- I know the box said 650 power but that was a BIG BIG lie-- the smaller the number on the eyepiece the more magnification. Do NOT use the 2x barlow which doubles the normal eyepiece power in these small telescopes--- just way to much magnification. This is NOT necessary to view the sky at night. I almost NEVER go over 100 power in my 8 inch telescope-- once in a while maybe 175 power. Sp use the eyepiece with the largest number on it--- to practice focusing during the daytime.Try to locate a local Astronomy club and attend one of their star parties and ask questions. You can bring the telescope with you and they will help you with it.

Cant see anything through the telescope

The red dot finder is NOT lined up with the main tube. During the daytime locate a distant object with the main tube eyepiece. Without moving the telescope adjust the red dot to point at the exact same spot.

I need to collimate my telescope, but the instructions don't seem clear to me. I'm supposed to see the reflection of my eye by looking into the focuser drawtube, but I don't. I can only see my eye by looking down the telescope tube. Is there a place I can go to have a professional collimate it? I live in Zip Code 91745.

Any member of any local Astronomy club can teach you how to collimate this scope. Contact your local club--Meanwhile watch this video:

I cant figure out how to work it or focus it also i cant see anything through it

During the daytime go outside and practice focusing on a distant object. Put the eyepiece with the LARGEST number written on it into the telescope. DO NOT use the 2x barlow if you have one. The moon should be your first target at night.
