1982 Jeep Cherokee no heat

If you can hear the motor(fan) spinning, check the linkage that controls which vents are open, also check for a vacuum leak as the vacuum hoses on a jeep that old go out frequently and many times control the switching for the heater/defrost/ac. your first thing to do will be to grab a manual for this jeep and check the actual location of the heater/vent/ac fan. there is always the chance that the fan slipped off the motor (usually doesn't happen, but the circlips have been known to fail)have you tried it in any other position? ie: vent or ac

No Heat in 1990 Jeep Cherokee

Well the first thing i would suggest is you take a look at its thermostat that could be over regulating hot air from flowing tothe heater if thats not got any major effect then have you been using an anti freeze formula for your engin coolant , because if not then it means the hot water pipes to your heater are blocked thank you.... if this was to benefit to you pease return the favour with a posetive rating

Heat comes out driverside/cool air comes out the passenger side?

It sounds like your blend doors are broken. As it turns out, this is a VERY common problem with grand cherokees. My father and I fixed this problem on my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4.7 about 2 months ago using a product called Heater Treater, found here: You can find a very helpful detailed write-up of the fix/installation here: Trust me, this REALLY works and a lot of Jeep Grand Cherokee owners, including myself, have done this. YOU WON'T HAVE TO REMOVE YOUR DASHBOARD, as the repair is done by simply removing your glove box. The downside is that you will lose Dual Climate Control, as the driver side thermostat will now control both sides. For me, it was worth it. Only spending about $150 for a Do-It-Yourself solution, versus spending about $1000 to have a mechanic remove my dashboard to fix it. Good luck!

99 jeep cherokee not getting any heat. New waterpump and thermostat. System flushed and has flow. Heater hoses and upper radiator hose hot, lower hose warm. Any way to bleed air out of the system?

With engine cold, remove radiator cap, start engine, if there is air in the coolant system it will "burp" it out through the open radiator cap. Check fluid level and replace cap. Good luck

94 jeep cherokee manual clutch fluid tube

The clutch hose on this model is all plastic with quick release metal ends. New master, slave and hose assemblies start at $145 to $240. There is an article on replacing the slave with 3/4" bore air cylinder for under $30. You could easily replace the line at this time using a simple compression fitting to connect to the stub of your old line. For that matter you could easily repair the hole with the same fitting available from any hardware store.

Engine replacement I want to replace the VM 2.5l engine on my Jeep Grand Cherokee limited 1996. I cannot find a similar engine where I am and would like to know which other engine will fit and what i need to do to achieve an easy replacement? thanks.

Look at engin makes from , dodge and cvhrysler but i would suggest you look for the chrysler voyeger lx model engin since they are simmilar in engin capacity . if that doesnt work out try converting a similar chgeaper engin , i know it sounds complicated but its really easy i did it on my vw golf , its all about the gearbox joining the engin and getting the engin moutains in place thats where the challenge is other than that its easy and convinient ...... thank you please return the favour
