My New 12? Meade LX200 ACF GPS telescope does not have the two screw?s in the front and the rear of the top of the main optical tube for mounting a dovetail plate to the top center or does it have screws on the right side for mounting the finder scope on ether side like my 10? and 8? scopes had. There is only one screw in the front and back located in the optical tube not the soiled black main back or the soiled black corrector plate ring in the front. Is this the way they are making them now or is this a manufacture mistake, because if this is so you will not even be able to mount Meade?s dovetail mounting plate for all the mounting plates I have researched all have to have two screws that go all the way through the plate and the curved mounting blocks ion to the scopes front and back. If you know anything about this I would like to know because Meade does not even know the anser. Thanks, Laurence

You may need to mount just a rail like this one:http://www.scopestuff.com/ss_mrail.htmYou can call Meade directly and ask:http://www.meade.com/support/index.html

I purchased a Fujinon 3.5-10X50 rifle scope a few years ago and mounted it on a Remington 7 MM Mag. I am unable to pull a group less than 12 inches at 200 yards and have not been able too since installing the new scope. I removed the scope and replaced with a Redfield 6X40 fixed and I am now able to shoot 2 inch groups. I never reinsatlled the Fujinon but would like to send the Fujinon scope in for repair so I can install it on a different rifle and begin using it. I really like the Fujinon optical clearity and would like to start using it again.

It is most likely the mounts not the scope. I would just install it on the new gun and check it there. Most times a scope that wanders is the mounts. One thing with big scope is they need to be tight or the recoil will move it in the mounts. Next due to being tight when the gun heats up it can and will tweak the scope in the mounts enough to move your center. Try it in your other gun, try 3 shot groups and let the gun cool. Recheck your center. If it is good with a cold gun all is well. If it moves from one day to the next it is the mounts. If you count the clicks to recenter, come back the next day and move it the same clicks, it is the mounts. If it is all over the place, day after day it is the scope.

I have a broken elevation spindle, the little aluminum casting that passes through the plastic driven gear and ultimately ends in 4 tapped holes that the sleeve bolts to that holds the optical tube. We tried to repair this with JB Weld Epoxy, and it held for one night, but it broke again when moving the scope. Is a replacement spindle casting available from any source? Although I am an engineer, and if money were no object, I could probably reverse engineer this part, produce a blueprint from many careful measurements, go to a foundry, and have a new one cast (or drop forged) in stainless steel, it would cost many times more than the telescope itself, and for that price I could just get a much bigger scope with a far more rugged mount. The original damage happened when the motorized mount was in a duffel bag that someone knocked off the tailgate of a pickup. It fell about 3 feet and impacted on hard rocky terrain. Visually it appeared to be undamaged until the weight of the tube was applied, then it was obvious something had broken. I have some pictures of the part and exactly where it goes if it has a different name than what I described. So i need a good part number for this part, a valid address and price and delivery information to order one from. If someone has built an aftermarket one from something like stainless steel or similar stronger material, so much the better, as it might also stiffen the scope and reduce vibration and oscillation when one bumps the eyepiece while observing.

Meade "MAY" sell you the part? Usually they want you to send the scope back. Call customer service:http://www.meade.com/support/index.htmlThis is also a problem on the ETX model scopes. There are some ingenious fixes posted on the Mighty ETX web site.Here:http://www.weasner.com/etx/menu.html Bassically bolts, washers and nuts.Search the web site for Broken DEC knob.

Meade LX200 10" SC Telescope

You have a standard lx200 problem. If you transported your scope a lot with the drives "locked" it damages the RA and DEC drives. If you keep using it, the motors burn out and start drawing too much current. This sometimes blows the motor driver chips on the motherboard which are getting very rare. The burned out tantalum caps can be replaced with better aluminum electrolytics very cheaply. If the ones in your Autostar burned out, they often burn up the ribbon cable. Also, they often take out U11, a 74LS14 chip on the motherboard. Also a cheap repair. You should take the Autostar apart. If they are burned up, it will be obvious. If your ribbon cable survived, you should replace the caps with aluminum electrolytics. I believe they are 6.8 uf. So, if you can work an ohmmeter, measure the resistance of the two drive motors with the plugs unplugged. If it is about 14 ohms they are ok. If they are about 3 or 4 ohms, they are toast. Check the worm drives for end play. If there is just a little, you can adjust them. The battery jack on the control panel often breaks the solder joints on the board, causing one of the problems you describe. You can check that and replace/resolder as necessary. The on/off switch often fails and gets intermittent. These are also cheap and can be replaced. I don't repair these for a living but I repair a few of them for friends in the club. These are pretty common problems.

Where can i find a BAIGISH Sakura 10-70X50mm Night Vision Binoculars Scope user guide/manual online?

Dino Direct carries them and has a pretty good description for them but is not complete. If they opearte in the manner I think they do, hold down on the lever to power them- do not pump, just press and hold. Since there is no mention of a battery or cell, this is the usual alternate method to power them.Otherwise the online information that is most complete is http://www.dinodirect.com/sakura-scope-10-70x50mm-binoculars-night-vision.html
