Rattle inside the set 8X20X50 set of binoculars Model # is #16-82050-1

It seems that refractor on the right barrel has come loose. IT moves around when you try to use the binoculars. The problem is in the smaller end of the right lense case and moves around whenever you try to focus the set. Can this be fixed and where or can I fix it myself. Love the binoculars.

The diopter setting eyepiece has come out of the body of my Bushnell 10X42 ''Waterproof'' binoculars, model 13-2410. I see keyways inside, but cannot screw it back in more than about 1/4 turn, which is insufficient to focus right. Can you instruct me how to fix it?

The entire diopter setting eyepiece was off.I separated the eye cup from the rest of the diopter setting eyepiece, and aligned the channel guides on the lens piece to slide it into place. Then holding it in place, taking care not to gum up the lens, I experimented with how to screw in the retainer ring so that its white dot registered correctly. Finally reattach the eye cup and focus. It's like new!

Insta-Focus focusing problem

First open and close the binoculars untill they fit you eye width, now adjust left eye with the flat section located on the center hinge, now turn right eyepiece till clear. note: once you have adjusted right eyepiece you only have to leave it in that position in order to focus from near and far.........good [email protected]

I would like to know how to dis-assemble an old Swift Vega Binoculars. It is a Nighthawk 7X50, model #788. The inside of the lens need to be cleaned and maybe the mirrors, but I am not sure how to take it apart. I am having difficulty finding out how to remove the large lens to clean the inside and to check out the rest of the inner workings for dust.

The old swift nighthawk is a nice bino, has lasted all these years and is well worth repair ...the problem is if you do it yourself you will only make it worse as there will be more more dust inside than when you started unless you have an air hose to blow off optics after polishing, also once you disturb the optics you will certainly put it out of alignment. have repaired many of these thru the years, actually worked for swift in boston years ago. why mess it up ...larry 5088331232

My Nikon Action 8 x 40CF binoculars, 6 years old, are not giving me such sharp images. I have never before used the diopter ring (at base or right eyepiece) to try and focus because the central focus ring seemed to do the job and the diopter ring has never seemed to do anything, even when the bins were new. It rrotates a short distance between -, 0 and + but when I turn it there's no visible difference between these settings. Is it not functioning? Am I using it correctly (it seems I am from consulting the rather inadequate Nikon manual).

Possible that the set screws are loose and not turning the eyepiece inside..other than that try cleang the [email protected]

I have an old set of 7x35 Manon binoculars that were purchased in the 50's. One side has a cracked lens on the inside. Is it worth it to have them repaired? How much would it cost? Who could do it? Thanks very much. Lee Williams

I would say no, do not repair it. The Nikon, Canon, & Leitz brand are worth repairing for they bring in a value of a $100 or more. All others fetch a low dollar value

Lens fogged up on inside of bausch and lomb elite

There's been some sort of breach in your casing. either a crack in a les, or maybe in the housing, perhaps it was dropped. if you can't take it apart and dry out all the moisture, you'll probably have to have it replaced.
