Diopter adjustment I have a pair of Pentax DCF SP 10x43 that I dropped a short distance. I have to now crank the diopter adjustment all the way to the left to get the correct vision. Should I send them in for some kind of adjustment? Mike

My Bushnell Insta Vision binoculars have double vision (10 x 50 WA / 370 ft. @ 100 yards)is there an adjustment I can make to correct this?

Hi, These binoculars are renowned for this problem unfortunately. What happens is the two oculars become misaligned and this causes the "double vision" effect. There is no adjustment you can make yourself to correct the problem. Most Bushnell products are covered by a lifetime warranty but I believe there are exceptions to this and your binoculars are one of these exceptions and are covered by a 2 year warranty. If you send the binoculars back to them - for another $10 delivery fee they will correct the problem for you. There is no other way to correct the issue so if your binoculars are still covered by warranty this is the only solution in this case. See link below for Bushnell warranty information and the correct procedure for returning repairs and please do leave a vote for the solution. Thanks. Bushnell Warranty Information

My Nikon Action 8 x 40CF binoculars, 6 years old, are not giving me such sharp images. I have never before used the diopter ring (at base or right eyepiece) to try and focus because the central focus ring seemed to do the job and the diopter ring has never seemed to do anything, even when the bins were new. It rrotates a short distance between -, 0 and + but when I turn it there's no visible difference between these settings. Is it not functioning? Am I using it correctly (it seems I am from consulting the rather inadequate Nikon manual).

Possible that the set screws are loose and not turning the eyepiece inside..other than that try cleang the [email protected]

The diopter adjustment on my 8-year old pair of Minolta Active 8x42 WP binoculars somehow rotated beyond the normal adjustment range and even after moving it back into it's proper alignment the view is blurry/double. The factory-authorized repair facility indicated that they couldn't be repaired because the parts have been continued. I'd like to know if there are any options besides replacing them.

Hello Bridget. It is very disappointing to read your message indicating that Minolta has discontinued part availability below the ten year industry standard. I would write a letter to them and state your disappointment over this. Then state that you will write formal complaints to both the Better Business Bureau and your State Attorney General pointing out this little profit scheme of theirs. I would ask for either your money back or at least a voucher for the full value of your binocs toward the purchase of a new set. Shame on them. Joe
