Science Tech 262 telescope image problems.

TOO much magnification! Hate to tell you but the MAXIMUM magnification for any telescope (all things being perfect-- like optics, and sky conditions) is 50 times aperture. So max for you is about 125 power.Normally only about 30-40 times aperture is possible. So about 90 power is your normal max magnification. We see this every Christmas. People buy scopes that say 275 power or 500 power on the outside of the box. It's a LIE!Even in my 8 inch LX90 I rarely go above 200 power, and only when the sky is clear and very stable. Use the eyepiece with the largest number written on it which will be your lowest magnification.

I'm simply looking for the assembly instructions for the +venture RX-7 reflector telescope. I purchased the telescope back in December and just opened it now to find no assemply instructions or product manual. I've e-mailed the supposed manufacturer in Huntington Beach, CA (it's really made in China), so +venture is really just the distributor for yet another ''Jimmy Lee'' made product. Looks like they may not even carry optical products anymore. They're focused on heat generating clothing.

Even though it's considered a TOY, its still small enough to be taken places easily. I feel its a step up from my binoculars. Yes its not my 10 in dob. but it will do.

Manual for barska telescope 114900

You will not find a manual for that scope. BUT! It's a small equatorial mounted REFLECTOR telescope. Meade telescopes has a similar model and a manual. They all assemble and are used in the same way.Look on this web site under REFLECTOR for a scope similar to yours and download the manual and print it. scope should be very similar to this one: web site may also help you.

Want to see images right side up

You do not need an erecting prism to view objects at night. These are used if you wish to view terrestrial objects since it turns them right side up. If you have a reflecting telescope (it uses mirrors) it's normal to not use an erecting prism or as they are also known as star diagonals. Objects will appear inverted and that's normal. A refracting telescope (no mirrors, just lenses) will also invert the image but it is quite often used with a star diagonal to make it easier to view. There are many other types of telescopes that use a combination of mirrors and lenses.I hope this helps.-jodair

You mean a BRAND new telescope and no manual-- or did you buy it used?Sorry but no manuals for that small telescope on the internet. However Meade maintains a website with all of their telescopes lokkunder th refractor or reflector HEADER for one similar to your telescope.

Hello. My daughter received the 120mm Astro-Nova 525x telescope as a gift. There was an instruction paper for putting it together which I did. It also had the star chart and the "Getting the Most From Your New Telescope" DVD which did not work at all and looking over the parts I realized the CyberSky Interactive CD-ROM was missing. So, I have no idea how to use the telescope at all. It was purchased at Toy R Us but they weren't any help except to say to contact you directly. We have been unable to use it for months and right now since Jupiter is visible in the night sky and won't be for another 25 years, we want to learn how to work this telescope and soon! Could you please send me the DVD and CD-ROM, otherwise the purchase of this telescope was a complete waste of money for my mother and that saddens me, not to mention my daughter has not been able to use it. Thank you for your help.

I would be surprised if ToysRus told you to contact FixYa. This is an advice site largely manned by volunteers, with no connection to ToysRus or Edu-Science. I would suggest that you contact Edu-Science to get the missing CD, or insist that ToysRus refund for the defective (missing parts) item they have sold you.Don't worry about Jupiter. It is not going to disappear. I have been watching it for decades and it is almost always up there.
