Cannot focus a Meade Refractor "Electronic Digital" series

All of Meade's manuals are listed here--http://www.meade.com/manuals/index.htmlTake it outside during the day time-- put the eyepiece with the LARGEST number written on it into the telescope--- this is the LOWEST magnification.Point it at a distant object and practice focusing-- the moon should be your first night time object.

Can not see thru telescope.

Yes it will focus --- put the eyepiece with the LARGEST number written on it into the scope. DO NOT use the 2x or 3x barlow. Practice focusing on a distant object at least 100 yards away during the day. The moon should be your first night time target.

Lens' in my new Voyager 78-9960 telescope fell out

The small squares are spacers between the lens elements. Most objectives have 2 parts, with one lens like() or (|. That is the one on the outside, with the outwardly curved side facing the object to view. The other lens goes behind it, making the stack look like: (object) --- ())| for the 2 lenses. Sorry, this page does not allow proper graphics, but I hope you get the idea.Do not tighten the retaining ring too tight - just enough to hold in place. The lenses need a little space for thermal expansion.

Bushnell voyager AN-78-9565

Not worth repairing-- a new focuser for your telescope would cost as much or more than the telescope-- unless you can find a discarded telescope of the same model..... for parts.

I have just been given a Tasco 851TR telescope that I know does not have all the parts it came with new. It needs some fixing up for sure, but I am completely new to using a telescope and can use any friendly help I can get. Last night I attempted to "gaze" at the moon. I say attempted because no matter how long I tried, I couldn't get the aim right or get the moon to hold still. At this point I'm looking for any and all advice and information I can find.

The Moon, the planets NOR the stars will hold still for you, sorry. You have to keep moving the 'scope to "track" them.
