Try a photo shop to see if you can get a T-adaptor to fit your camera (this is for SLR cameras without lens attached - the telescope becomes the lens) But if you mean the 55mm filter threads, ie with the lens still on the camera, then you have the wrong thing. You need instead a contraption that holds the camera in position to take photos through the eyeepiece of the telescope (ie both telescope eyepiece and camera lens remain in place). With non-SLR cameras, that is the way to do it.

Yukon yd-100 lens removal for camera fitting seems like thred is broken

When you say lens, did you unscrew the eye piece or the actual lense? because the eyepiece is meant to fit your adaptor for 35mm cameras etc. but the actual front lense should be tightly sealed and thread locked to make your glass (scope) waterproof to some extent and to protect the alignment of the other lenses within your scope. If it is possible your local camera shop may have the ability to re-align and seal your scope, but if not do you have a warranty? and if not even that, if i were you i would align and accraglass your piece back together, it's a last ditch solution that should last for years.

I need one of the adapters for my Meade 1209 zero image shift microfocuser used on LX200gps. It is the 'L' adapter on the instruction page, used to attach certain 2" accessories. Where can I find one? Meade is backordered for 3-4 months.

You might find one USED on astromart.com and or on the classified at www.cloudynights.com.You can also try a few Meade dealers that may have one here is one dealer:http://www.astronomics.com/

I have an Meade ETX non computerized 3.5 - 90 (I believe) and the round base, where it is attached by 6 plastic attachements (3 on each side) have broken off and I can simply life the two attaching calibrated sides up and away - it broke completely off. Is there a replacement part or section I can fix this disaster with? HELP! Jerry Mulderick [email protected]

Meade usually will not sell you parts. However you can call them and ask.http://www.meade.com/support/index.htmlUsually they want you to return the scope for repairs. They can fix this but you may not like the charge which is usually about $150- $175.

No matter what lens specification i install of the 3 that were supplid by meade, the object( any object.......the moon in this particular case) is never in focus. it is only ever in sharp focus when i move the eyepiece about an inch away from the telescope and hold it in my hand. not ideal i know, but the moon does then appear in very sharp focus. its as id the size of the eyepiece lens is too small. what to do. whats missing?

If possible turn the lens extension around. also there should be an adjustment you can make right on the eyepeice. turn it left or right

I have a Meade ETX 90 EC with a problem with the declination lock (verticle lock). I talked with a Meade tech rep who said to remove the know, but it will not come off. He also said they no longer stock parts. So, how to remove the know and once that is off, what can be done?

Try holding the metal ring with the down and twisting the dial to the left independently

Meade etx-80 sticking

Some (not all) versions have an end stop - it it just reaching that? The scope will rotate only aboit 3 complete turns between the 2 ends. The 'correct' starting position is as follows: Place scope on tripod or table with control panel at the West. Unlock the declination lock (horizontal slew). Rotate scope anticlockwise until it hits the end stop, Then roate it back clockwise until scope is pointing North (should be about 3/8 of a turn, as the end stop is at South West). Then lock the declination, Set the tube horizontal and continue with the alignment process. Autostar always thinks you have set the position like that. If you haven't, it will work OK until it tries to rotate past the point it won't go, then chaos results!
