Bushnell Range Finder

I have the same problem, and sent my unit to Bushnell for repair. They were unable to repair it, stated "obsolete" and "repair parts unavailable" and sent it back to me. Would you be interested in selling me your dead unit for parts for a few bucks? Thanks. g[email protected]

From one day to the next-all of a sudden, when I press the range finder button, the cross hairs and everything fades away. I have changed the battery with 2 different ones. If you let the unit set for a few days, you can press the button and all the functions appear, but then press again and everything fades away. Model Yardage Pro Tour XL 20-2025 000794 Thanks for your help Don

Hi this sounds to me like an internal power supply problem, I would say that what happens is that the main filter capacitor inside the power supply is charging up, over the time left alone, then that is enough to "Power it briefly" when first turned ON, however, when a full draw is further required, the power supply fails, or "Sags" as "we' say..It may also be the voltage regulator that is involved too. What to do, well in reality there is little DIY that can be done on such a delicate and sophisticated instrument. So one has little alternative, if there is a view to a repair, other than contacting Bushnell, and asking them "What to do?" either take it to a recommended servicing center, or send back to them? Now if worried about costings, then please simply first ask for a "Quote" as to the type of and cost of any prospective repairs, this way at least you can make an informed decision, as to what to do repair or replace? First though, have you tried Alkaline heavy duty batteries... any? HD batteries, even NiMH, Ni-cads? just to make sure there is no battery aspect to the whole thing as i have had "Battery" problems many many times at my shop, all batteries are NOT created equal, once i had to go through many batteries before i found "Proper" ones that worked even though the others were ostensibly "New". So make sure.

Error message 6 - Bushnell Yardage Pro Tour XL Rangefinder

E6 means your unit has a program failure or bad cpu board. If its over 6 years old bushnell won't have parts anyway. Time to buy a new rangefinder.

I have an old Yardage pro Model 20-0002 date code 02/01 001348. The battery is new but the viewfinder shows 888 yds. on the first push and stays at that number after that. Usually, I hit the top button a second time and the yardage shows up. When I press the side button, the finder shows the 'yd' and 'm' flashing back and forth but does not allow me to chose which one. The battery symbol shows 2 dashes) I loved this model but has it given up the ship now? I used it every year (about 60 games/yr) and it worked flawlessly. I did lose the battery cover a few years ago and cut out a rubber grommet to cover the battery and taped it down. I have never used it in the rain and it gets placed back into the original case after each game.(battery removed each time) Is it time to get a new one?...LOL

A faulty capacitor has claimed the life of this to operate correctly. A new one is you best choice than repairing this one here
