Suggested Questions And Answer :

Please help. I need the user manual for c-star

That is a very simple reflector style telescope --- here is my suggestions-1. Forget about the barlow--- since this scope has a very small aperture you will not be able to get much more than about 125 power-- if you try to use the barlow which DOUBLES or TRIPLES the power of your eyepieces the images you see will be degraded and it will be VERY hard to point the telescope and focus.2. Put the eyepiece with the largest number (which is the lowest magnification) into the telescope and take it outside during the day and practice focusing on a distant object.3. Take it out at night when the moon is up and LESS THAN 3/4 full-- the moon should be your first night target...... if all goes well try to find Saturn which is up in the sky right now, and appears as a slightly yellow "star".4. The smaller telescope is the finder scope and mounts on top of the main telescope tube. Use this to point the main telescope------- but you must first line it up on a distant object so that the small telescope and the big tube are both pointed exactly alike.5. Try to find a local astronomy club and attend one of their star parties.6. Here is a manual for a telescope that is very similar to what you have except yours is on an Alt Az Mount while the one below is on an equatorial mount but many of the tube parts are the same-- http://www.meade.com/manuals/TelescopeManuals/Reflectors/Meade114STEQ-D.pdf

How do I see out of the eye piece?

Set the scope up looking at something in the distance in the daytime. Start with the lowest power and that is the highest numbered eyepiece (i.e. 25mm or 40mm, NOT 5mm for example). Be sure NOT to use the 2x or Barlow lens. Use a star diagonal if you have one and set the focus about 1/2 way out between all the way in and all the way out. Move the focus in and out while looking through the eyepiece. The object should be at least 100 yards away.Once focussed, you work your way up to higher powers. Generally the rule is to use the lowest power that wil show you the subject, since you "run out of light" as you enlarge the subject more and more. Always remember telescopes are for gathering light and making faint things visible better rather than emphasizing power or magnification. Seek help at a local astronomy club if this doesn't work. They ahould be helpful.

I own a celestron c6 sgt, when im setting it up i have align the 2 index marks on the mount, when i do this the optical tube is not pointing in the exact position as the polar axis, the optical tube is pointing a little more to the right, the declination axis would only need to be turned 3mm to put it right.when index marks lignd i also noticed the counter weight bar which moves around the polar axis does not point directly to the ground. so is this normal or are my index marks (which are glued on) in the wrong position. please help derek

The setting circles are out of adjustment.

Can u please tell me how much the TASCO GALAXSEE

This is a very small refractor on a shaky equatorial mount. Do NOT buy this telescope. It's what we call a "department" store scope. You can find 50 of them for sale used on Craigslist, where they are sold after the owner finds out they are a toy telescope.PLUS the EQ mount must be polar aligned in order to work.Look at a Dobsonian telescope like this one-http://www.telescope.com/control/product/~category_id=classicdobs/~pcategory=dobsonians/~product_id=08942

Manual for barska telescope 114900

You will not find a manual for that scope. BUT! It's a small equatorial mounted REFLECTOR telescope. Meade telescopes has a similar model and a manual. They all assemble and are used in the same way.Look on this web site under REFLECTOR for a scope similar to yours and download the manual and print it.http://www.meade.com/manuals/index.htmlYour scope should be very similar to this one:http://www.meade.com/manuals/TelescopeManuals/Reflectors/Meade4500.pdfThis web site may also help you.http://www.texasastro.org/telescope.php

Operating Problem The optic device still turns on and off, and the infa-red works on it as well, the two functions of the device. However, when I turn the device on and look through the monocular at night or in darkness, i see nothing and no light or image whatsoever is being put through the eyepiece. In short, i see the same thing while looking through the monocular while it is on, as i would while it is off. The problem MAY be due to light exposure, I'm not sure. Anyways, please help me or give me any input, because I'm thinking about just finding a place to send it for repair.
