Pinseeker 1500 has trouble picking up flags over 100 yards away

The unit needs an alignment. Vibration and dropping the unit is the number one killer of rangefinders.....After a while of using them, (bouncing around in golf carts, cup holders, dropping them on the cart path, or the ground) small prisms start to move inside and decrease the units effective range.... (only able to hit a target at about 150 yards or less) People that use these type of instruments have to realize that the laser beam is the straightest line in the history of man!!!. Alignment is crucial!!! Alignment is due. For all you players that think its okay to take off the eyepiece cap.....(bad idea) This is why you see oily looking spots or black spots in the view. Direct sunlight will be magnified and burn the surface of the LCD. Bushnell is good about warranties but, if you take it apart...the warranty is void!!!! So if its 2 years old or less.....(send a copy of the proof of purchase) .send it to them. If you have sunlight burns already...this won't effect the performance of the unit. Wait till something else is wrong. mr tech geek Rate me if you can...or find out this is the truth!!!!Bushnell Repair Technician]Service address:Bushnell Repair Centre8500 Marshall DriveLenexa, KS 66214send $10 for return shippingsend your problem statement and phone number.Their number is 800.423.3537

Will not give distances over 130 yards - Bushnell PinSeeker 1500 20-5103 Rangefinder

According to Bushnell, the optical lense can come out of alignment. This can happen due to the unit getting bounced around during transport, shipping, in the golf cart etc... (If you gently drop it on the grass while trying hit your shot...) The mis-alignment causes the longer distances to not work. Bushnell suggest you send the unit in for re-alignment. The product comes with 2 year warranty and will cost only $10 of return in most cases to get it fixed. It takes about 3 to 6 weeks to complete the process. Incorrect distance or Calabrated wrong

Sounds like the unit is reading in meters instead of yards....Hold down the mode button on the side for about 5 seconds. It should switch modes.

Had it for years, but only dropped it ONCE! My Bushnell Pinseeker 1500 Rangefinder + Slope now doesn't give accurate distances and it can't seem to locate a flag beyond 200 yds anymore. Any thoughts? THanks!

It may have gotten shocked when dropped or just plainly needs a software upgrade. The Bushnell site likely has an update to download. Otherwise if by some chance a software update doesn't work which I think it would, then you may have to look internally for loose or broken solder joints on the circuit board.

I have had my Pinseeker 1500 for several years and suddenly all I get is a readout with slope that does not do anything. I am an amateur so have never tried to use the slope function...didn't even know it was there. Here is what I see on the screen: 1. The target is in the center. 2. Pin icon is on the extreme left 3. Below the target it reads 1888 YM 4. Bottom center it reads +18* >888 (note: I didn't have a degrees sign so I used the * to represent that) Thanks for any help you can give me Charlie Ochs radioochs@aol.com 727 422-4394

I purchased a new LR 559 Callaway golf rangefinder from a QVC auction. The problem with it is it isnt even close to accurate. I have a measured archery range back to 65 yards and the rangefinder is way off on the distance. At 10 yards it reads 16 at 20 it reads 22 at 30 it reads 31. I never get the same distance 2 times in a row. Do you have any idea what the problem could be. Thanks Roy Keffer

Its a piece of ****, that happens when you arder through qvc. When you arder electronic devices for weights or measurements, first you must know exactly what you are looking at, make, model, and series,,, then read all of the reviews you can,, then go to a pro store-- (like our shop we are a pro archery shop) we refuse to work on peoples bows they bring in that they bought online, because half the time they recieved something that they did not order, they dont look like they did in the picture that the seller posted... always read reviews and ask the professionals.... I would return the item even if it was an auction, if you cant return it then ebay it-- but be honest when you post descriptions of the item, and the problems that you may be experiencing, trust me the buyers will appreciate it...

Bushnell Laser Range Finder

You have it on the meters setting not the yards setting. hold the scan button down for three seconds or longer and it will revert to the other form. a meter is nearly 10% longer than a yard.
