Canon 12x36 is binoculars

My granddaughter dropped my canon is and they got out of adjustment. The is still workks, but the right image is aimed slightly higher than the left. I am on an out island and no repair is available and ups type shipping isn't wither. Is there a way to adjust them. I have pilled the rubber armour back and see several adj screws. Any help

Canon 12x36 is binoculars

Your alignment is out in the vertical. There are two prisms on each side and you want to adjust the lower ( on the right side ) prism so that you correct the image in the vertical dimension. Caution : it doesn't follow that just because the image seems to be out on the right hand side that it is the right side that fas to be adjusted. So be prepared to adjust the other side. Also the best is to adjust little bit on each side until alignment comes right.

It is probably the Image Stabilisation electronics which need replacement, and there will have been several upgrades in this since the binoculars were first made. Can you focus just one side and use them as a telescope ?

Our group has 2 pairs of Canon Image Stabilizer 10x30 IS binoculars which have served our students well for geological fieldwork. Recently, one pair was taken off the coast of California to do viewing and fieldwork from a boat and kayaks. Subsequently, the binoculars got wet, have salt crystals in the workings and the stabilizer has stopped working. Thus, we need repair and cleaning. Do you do service of this sort? Is it possible to fix these?

When salt water gets in ..if its not cleaned soon then its probably to late...the cost of repair wuld be more than a new [email protected]
