How to see thru the telescope - Bushnell Deep Space 78-9003 (525 x 76mm) Telescope

Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the focuser. The focuser is on the side of the tube------- this is the UP end of the telescope. The mirror is on the bottom. Take the lens cap off and practice focusing with the above eyepiece during the day time.DO NOT USE the 2x barlow until you learn how to focus.

Bushnell Deep Space Series 525x 78-9500 We didn't assemble when we received as a gift a couple of years ago and now realize that the assembly instructions were left out of box. We assembled telescope but wonder what to do with the lenses and where they fit. Barlow Lens 3x and 1.5x Erect Image Eyepiece Where do they attach and how do you use them?

The erecting prism can be used for both terrestrial and star gazing-- put it innto the scope first. The 3x barlow probably will NOT be very useful... it triples the power of any eyepiece. Your small scope cannot go much over 100 power-- before the image degrades.Put the eyepiece with the BIGGEST number written on it into the erecting prism which you previously stuck into the scope... now go outside during the daytime and practice focusing on a distant object. The bigger the number on the eyepiece the LOWER the magnification.

In the DAY TIME? Take the scope out in the day time, put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the focuser-- DO NOT use the 2x barlow. Practice focusing on a distant object by turning the focus know right and or left until you get a sharp image.TAKE the lens cap off-- of course.

How to operate - Bushnell Deep Space 78-9003 (525 x 76mm) Telescope

This is a reflector style scope with a large mirror in the bottom, and a small secondary mirror underneath the focuser. The focuser is on the UP end of the tube as the picture shows in your question.Simply insert the eye[pieces into the hole on the focuser and turn the knob left or right until the image comes to focus. Practice during the day time on a distant object starting with the eyepiece with the largest number written on it. Read this--http://texasastro.org/telescope.php about the types of telescopes.Objects in the night sky are tiny and many of them are very dim-- the scope must be pointed directly at them or you will not see anything.Find a local Astronomy club and the members will help you. Completed setup, can't see anything through eyepiece.

I answered your question already-- TURN THE SCOPE around you have it mounted backwards! The eyepiece end is pointed UP. Like the picture above in your question.
