Canon binoculars dropped

It is probably the Image Stabilisation electronics which need replacement, and there will have been several upgrades in this since the binoculars were first made. Can you focus just one side and use them as a telescope ?

I have a pair of 20 x 80 binoculars that the enter focus knob turns and free wheels, but the barrels of the eyepices do not move in or out. I can manually slide the barrels in and out to focus, but they will not stay in place. I can slide the barrels out completely and there is a tiny hole with a brass pin in it that looks as though it has been sheared off. Is there any way to repair this? Zhumell told me to discard them and they would send me a new pair, which they did. I still have the first pair and would like to repair if possible.

I dont think so if i were you get a new one

Canon 12x36 is binoculars

Your alignment is out in the vertical. There are two prisms on each side and you want to adjust the lower ( on the right side ) prism so that you correct the image in the vertical dimension. Caution : it doesn't follow that just because the image seems to be out on the right hand side that it is the right side that fas to be adjusted. So be prepared to adjust the other side. Also the best is to adjust little bit on each side until alignment comes right.

I have a 10x50 porro lens bushnell binoculars, I am experiencing off set images. Do I have to send in for repairing or is there a way I can adjust them myself?

This kind of problem is always in the gray, since, chances are, one side has been "sprung" out of position. Sometimes one can temporarily flex it back to normal, but once mechanical (metal and plastic) parts are stressed, they tend to revert back to the bad position. It's also hard to tell which way to rebend the housing to reset it to it's original position, and often the problem is made worse by even trying, or exerting too much force. I had an older set that I would always have to twist and torque to sync the images, and just lived with it. Another thing to consider is that trying to twist it back might compromise the waterproof integrity of the unit. It's a nice set of binoculars, so I would recommend having a repair facility fix it, unless they want too much. Not sure I helped out, but good luck getting it fixed!
